Blackberry shall rise again

Despite of Blackberry's fall this past years, the Canadian based OEM is still standing stood and is ready for another attempt to regain their reign.

Blackberry was once the leader when it comes to smartphone industry. It used to be very innovative and excellent in all aspect of mobile software and hardware. Blackberry Messenger (BBM) is the perfect example of how Blackberry innovate  to their software as BBM today is widely used to all leading platforms like Android and iOS. And when it comes to software, who can question the accuracy and precise interface of the Blackberry Keyboard of BlackBerry 10 devices. BB Keyboard also remains as the world's best physical keyboard due to its state of the art engineering and interface.

Today, the company gave up their hopes in finding potential buyers, and instead invested 1 Billion
dollars together with its newly acquired CEO. Two months ago, Fairfax Financial Holdings Inc (Blackberry's Largest Stock Holder)  planned to buy the rest of the company to make it private. Fairfax's boss Prem Watsa is now new Blackberry's leading director after their recent investment.

Meanwhile, Blackberry's CEO for the last 22 months Thorsten Heins will be replaced by John Chen. He was the president of Sybase, an independent software vendor specializing in data management, analytics, and mobility technology (wikipedia, 2013). With Blackberry's new leadership, it will be an exciting time for the Blackberry team. Whether they continue their frustrating sales or come back to where they was placed before.

Last August, Blackberry announced to the public for interested buyers as its best strategic move possible. The announcement today is the answer for the speculations about Blackberry's move of survival.

Two of Blackberry's founder who have connections with Facebook , Lenovo and Cerberus including Qualcomm were reportedly having business with BB but no conclusions were made yet.

Blackberry's CEO John Chen also announced that he looked forward in transforming Blackberry but asked more patience. "BlackBerry is an iconic brand with enormous potential -- but it's going to take time, discipline and tough decisions to reclaim our success," he said. Chen was a son of a poor Chinese, studied top american universities and excelled in the mobile communication industries on 1990. He transformed struggling company Sybase and now, one of the leaders in selling business services.

Some said that Blackberry's fall is far enough against competitors to conclude that closing the company will be the wisest move to prevent further damages to the canadian company. This move could greatly damage the company's software and services.

An analyst also told that today, Blackberry's Blackberry 10 platform has difficult time competing against current opponents like Android and iOs and has a very low chance of profititng the company. By saying: We now believe a breakup is more likely than an outright sale and fundamentals will continue to deteriorate over a now-longer public sale process under new management." (Michael Walkley, analyst at Canaccord Genuity)

Blackberry shares rolled 16.35 percent in trade, closing at $6.50.

"The new management brought in to right the ship will have both a mandate to do so (with a proven track record) as well as more breathing room (with the increased cash reserve)," said analyst Jack Gold of J. Gold Associates.

"I'd expect to see some significant redirections at BlackBerry over the next 6-12 months as the new management takes hold and new business priorities and directions emerge," he said.

Blackberry created a legacy to people who are fan of smartphones, but lost its momentum during the dawn of Titans like iOs and Android. This coming January, Blackberry will unveil its new platform that possibly lift BB's current standing. Others says that it's just a failure and a waste of time. With 70million active users of Blackberry worldwide, with majority of the older Blackberry OS, the newer Blackberry 10 is  losing its attention.

Last September, the company was forced to fire one third of its global labor force just to survive the ongoing batte. With the ongoing critics and negativity that pulls down Blackberry's standing. It is a big challenge to the new administration of Chen to prove them wrong and show to the world Blackberry's potential as being the Best smartphone in the World.

In this new chapter of Blackberry's Life, can they survive this battle and won? Or better court another potential buyer and just end this epic battle.

Stay tune for more updates about Blackberry's action.
