Sony Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact and Z Ultra tipped to get Android 4.4 KitKat in April

According to French mobile operator SFR, Sony’s new Xperia Z1 Compact, which was launched in January running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, should be updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat starting April. Along, the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra will also get KitKat in the same time. We can't confirm anything right now until the official words come out.

The French Mobile Operator SFR doesn’t mention when the older Sony Xperia Z will get KitKat, they  are only saying that this handset has already received an update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. We heard that the Sony Xperia Z, which is more than one year old, may receive KitKat sometime in March. However, there is no official statement from Sony for the Android 4.4 KitKat for the Sony Xperia Z.
